Yesterday, we celebrated New Year's Eve in a low-key kind of way. We took a family trip to Party City in the afternoon to get a few New Year's items. Noah decided on some kind of contraption where you twist one end and a spring releases confetti and streamers. Of course, Noah released it the moment he took it out of the bag and it lost its effect right away!

He didn't get the whole "one-time use" concept and spent some time trying to figure out how to make it work again.
After a little while, he gave up and gathered up the confetti to manually throw it up into the air!Noelle joined in the fun and played with the confetti a bit before declaring it "dirty".
She did, however, enjoy the Fancy Fringed Blowouts (I never did know the correct term for those things but just educated myself!).We also enjoyed a big dinner at Grams' house but ended the festivities after dinner. Mommy and Daddy stayed up long enough to watch the ball drop (poor Dick Clark - it is so hard to hear him speak) and wish a few of our siblings a Happy New Year! Who knows, maybe we'll be a little more exciting next year.
Here's to a HAPPY and HEALTHY 2010!!
